Hi all,

Hope your all well, sorry to post another plea for help!

Is there any way to find a service record for my grandad? I can find nothing on ancestry or genes, although thats not to say im looking in the right place.
I believe he was in the royal engineers.

Here is the link to the Veterans Agency to whom application for WW2 service records must be made, as CarolB stated only available to the person themselves or NOK which has to be proven, and involves a cost of £30-00 but free if its the actual person, also can take up-to 9 months to receive them.

The 75 year closure on these records has always been the case
