I have a polystyrene bead tray designed for a computer with a little side light on a bendy neck attached. It has space for pens and a cup but my laptop covers them. Got it from Dunn Elm Mill. Between the laptop and the tray I have one of fan bases - PC World but a bit dear! |

laptops needs air so to sit it on a flat base can cause over heating, one of the proper laptop fan assisted bases are the best to dispurse the heat away from it. |

Thanks everyone for your replies. The laptop cooling mats - I presume that they will have to be plugged into the electricity if they have a fan? |

We have trays with polystyrene filled bottoms for your lap, my hubby uses one to write on and do other things, it would hold a laptop I'm sure. |
