All done she back up and running and aved herelf a lot of money by not having to buy a new one.

If you have a desk top monitor then it should be relatively easy to connect it up to the laptop. You loose portability but at least it would help retrieve files etc and act as a temporary (but not mobile) fix.

good luck to your daughter,dont wont to put her off but the screens gone on mine to & i was told it prob cost more to fix it than its worth,& it wasnt overly cheep when i got it!!

it eldest so shes not at school and all the others are closed now. Have left a mesage on repair centre phone will see what he says.

Now have one grumpy daughter as she was saving up for a car , lifes hard when your just starting out lol.

methinks that the short answer is no( that is for us mortals)
a year or so ago my brother bought a Dell lappie for daughter............screen not working, so the guy from Dell(NOT del Monte) lol came to replace the screen at home..........you wouldnt believe the screws n things he had to dismantle, all the time wearing the "static screen" lead on his wrist.

result all ok,

ps is there not a output socket to see the screen on a tv?

PPs has your school got an IT department? one of the techies there might be able to help???

Can you change laptop screens easily. Daughters cat has managed to smash hers sop she cant use her lappy and she needs it .

Can they be replaced easily or not?
