Winter Drawers Ever Near

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 13 Nov 2010 17:06

I thought I would have a relaxing half hour and read my latest Agatha Raisin book. Injured foot up in the air and settled down.

Suddenly the chunky choc lab monster who had been sleeping upside down on the other sette decided to get a bee up his bum and went charging around downstairs and down the newly laid wood flooring in the hall which unfortunately had two rugs on it.

Yes, the rugs went with him and so did the poor bird cage which is on a stand with wheels.

The cat who was sitting on the chair in the hall contemplating how best to get into the bird cage went up in the air too as the chair slid along the hall.

All three of them were in a heap at the front door plus the cage.

Why do you never have a video recorder on standby for such occasions?

I had a cat and dog covered in blue bird feathers and bird seed and had to hoover the pair of them.

What a palarver trying to hobble around and get everything back to normal.

The dog is in disgrace. The cat is giving the cage a wide berth and the budgie God bless her is tweeting away as if nothing had happened.

Peace resumes ones more in my household. Now it is time to cook dinner. I think I will save reading my book until bedtime.

After all this I need a drink and ....... it will not be a cup of tea. I think it will be the Rose without the Lea (tea).

Lollol!!! Aileen, what a picture that conjured up. It gave me a laugh, thank goodness you weren't standing in the hall or you would have been on top of the heap!!!! Glad nothing serious was broken and maybe the cat has learned that budgie cages can be dangerous!!!

Actually, thinking about it, my dog was always pretty calm but my cats often had a mad five minutes or so, they would pelt past the dog going over or under her depending on whether she was standing or lying down lol

Oh and I am green with envy, have wanted a choc lab for sooo long and no chance while I am here.

Hope today has been calmer!
