Today we were talking about dinners and I mentioned that maybe, only maybe mind lol, that is so he can't say I put it in writing. Anyway I said that I may make him Toad in the Hole.

He wants to know why it is called that and when I said I didn't know he suggested I asked you on here,

see he has faith in you all also !

So any ideas ?

I was told that it was once called " turd in the hole " but didn't go down to well so it was changed to toad in the hole........... !!

lol Mummo and that was because they used any left over meat and made it into rounds to put in the batter but as you said turd didn't go down that well so the name was changed .....I do like that explanation thankyou

I used to feed two of my granchildren after school,and one day asked them what they would like for tomorrows dinner.

Phoebe thought for a minute,and then said,
