We currently have a genuine IT help desk expert staying.

He says without knowing exactly what the problem is, he can't give specific advise eg you are obviously connected to the internet, but what can or can't you do with SKYPE?

He suggests uninstalling and reinstalling as it is quite a small file.

(He is going out shortly, so won't be able to assist with follow up questions/answers)

Thanks for advise DET.....

Going to do exactly what you say uninstall then reinstall.....never had a problem before.......

I just cannot connect to skype at all.......so here goes...

Good luck! He says there are more complicated things you can do, but that is the easiest and quickest and should only take about 10 mins.
