Has any experienced their mums/dads finding new partners, and how it made you feel at the time. |

I was just gone 30 when my Dad died. He was nearly 55 and Mum was 51. Mum found someone else nearly 5 years later, it felt strange her being with someone else but he made her smile again and was very good to her. That was good enough for me. |

My Dad died when he was 56 and I was 18. Mum already knew Dave, as he and Dad were in the same bowls club, and even went to the same school! They became an item a few years later, but have never married, or actually moved in together, as both like some independence. Why should my Mum not find further happiness, I certainly had no problems with it, nor did my siblings. |

I lost my Dad in 1987 and although Mum coped very well I know she missed having someone around.I would have been very happy if she had found someone else to share her life.I think Dad would have too.He was unable to speak due to Motor Neurone Disease, but he wrote notes. The night he died he managed to scribble a few words, and it was "Be Happy". |

My dad found another partner who he later married. She became a good mother to me and her daughters were my best friends. I was 19 then. |
