I have had two phone calls asking to speak to a Rebecca Pembroke. I dont know who she is but she is giving out my phone number as her contact number. Should i think this is just a co-incidence or should I be worried in case she is using anything else of mine. |

Have you tried to find her number in the directory (or are you meaning on your mobile?) If the land line, maybe she has just got the number and has accidentally got it wrong. Maybe one digit out or something. |

When I had my landline connected, I kept getting calls for some guy. I found out he had never lived here, but the number I was given was actually his mother's old number. |

I've had that happen also. I think people give random phone numbers when they don't want to be contacted. As long as you don't start getting mail addressed to this woman I wouldn't worry too much. |

We had a problem with nuisance calls a few years ago, and BT arranged for our calls to be intercepted, |

Thanks everyone for your advice. I wil see if I get another call today and see if I can find out who the caller is and company they are working for. Then I can decide what to do next if I need to do anything at all. |

You may be able to get a free online credit report. You have to give your credit card number, but as long as you contact them within so many days, they will cancel. We did this a few years ago. Admittedly we got a couple of phone calls asking why we didn't want to keep it going, but they weren't persistant. |
