Go careful if looking for wines - it does say in small print - finest wines and finest champagne'. Just thought this related to their wines in general. Noooooooooooooo - out of all the shelves in Tesco superstore only 4 devoted to the label finest wines, 2 red and 2 white, one shelf of red was empty and OH said he would not sprinkle his chips with the rest. We then just used our vouchers normal way and availed oursleves of the special offers of which there were quite a few.

Thanks for that info Chris.I just go for their half price ones even though I think some are a rip off ,as I am pretty sure they sometimes bump the prices up ,just before an 'Offer'.Having said that I have had a few good deals there just recently.

We did the same Chris. We couldn't see which wines it referred to at first so we asked two of the staff stocking the wine shelves. Te first didn't have a clue, the second showed us Tesco's finest, all about £7.99 a bottle. So we wouldn't be any better off. Ended up buying Hardy's Merlot for £3 on offer. Better the wine you know I reckon.
The last time they doubled up on wine it was all wines.

They were offering litre of Bacardi for £15 reduced from £20. Son could not recall what he paid 4/5 months ago but was sure he did not pay that.

All these supermarkets have special people who dream up ways to make you think you,re getting a Bargain, when in fact its ways to con you into buying more or things you don,t want. They must think their customers are stupid.Normally they put up the prices and then later reduce them, Big deal.Not. **M**.
