Monty the Egyptians and Greeks were once
far advanced on most civilizations
i dont know what happened
but they are now after such a great start lagging behind many cultures

so maybe be its 10 steps forward and 11 steps back

good point Joy, we may go backwards, back to horses and carts, smoke signals, long bows, corner shops & the work houses maybe not all that bad.

Anyway Smiffy I'm only worried about next week when the new boilers being fitted!
How will I keep warm with NO central heating????

I am a spoiled child of the pampered generations don't you know!
my early years in the fifties and sixties are long gone.. pmsl:)))))))

I think the Quakers will be laughing at all of us when our usual fuels run out..

At least they may do something about more solar power and even better insulation. Its always colder when you are in the house on your own, so good excuse to invite friends!
