Twitter user Paul Chambers has lost an appeal against his conviction for posting a "threatening" message on the website.

He sent a message, threatening to blow an airport "sky high", in frustration over news that it had been closed due to snow, but always maintained that he was obviously joking. He has now been fined £385 plus a victim surcharge.

He was then ordered to pay prosecution costs of £2,600 on top of his original fine and now has a criminal conviction.

Just shows that you have to be careful what you publish in print. There are probably the odd comments that appear on these boards that sail close to the wind.
