hi iris my brother has prostate cancer he was given no advice on changing his diet. it does not neccasary mean that on op will be carried out , my brother has had it for nine months now and had several scans they told him as it has not spread an op is not needed. he can live with this ok and that if it stays like that they may never operate. and that he is more than likely die of something unrelated. |

Hi Iris, My husband was told he had this last January. Unfortunately his had spread to the bone. He is on female hormone treatment and is very well and active. He puts this down to eating corned beef sarnies with mustard. Even though his has spread the prognosis is good and he has been told it will probably not be this which finally kills him. On the lighter side, he had been to Tescos and brought some flowers. It was after 10 30pm when he came in and I said "you needn't think I'm arranging these before I go to bed". Next morning an arrangement was sitting on the window ledge. I said to him tell the hospital I know the injections are working, you've taken up flower arranging.Elaine. |
