It seems we yet again have "improvements".................

Must admit i like the fact they tell you when threads were updated...and the new posts/ no new posts icons are much easier to see than before the upgrade.

all in all I think the recent changes do actually seem to be user friendly.

A pity though that people must be leaving GR in their droves as the boards move so slowly nowadays where there seems to be very few postings and updates compared to previous years.....

Mildred showed me this morning how you can expand the reply text box by pulling on the corner at the bottom right hand side. I don't know if it is a new improvement or not but I like it :)

Oooops, I had posted after Nicky, then found 2 more postings had been made while I was typing mine, so I replied to them. I then found one of those postings had been deleted so decided to edit mine but accidentally hit on delete but immediately changed it to edit, which I did, and the message at the top says my edit was successful, but unfortunately so was the deletion (although there is nothing to say that).

It is certainly going to take some getting used to.

I don't like the change in time of posting


Living overseas, I'm much more used to looking at the actual time, and subtracting 8 hours from it

"Today" or "Five Hours Ago" means nothing

....... especially when "Today" seems to mean any time between 12:01 am and about 12 noon!

I agree with you Sylvia, but in my case I add 11, 12 or 13 hours for England (depending on time of year) and other figures for Canada and Australia, but then you and I are both good at mathematics!

Hi Girls, not enjoying using the boards as much now, seems we have to go round the houses to post and it was all fine before, why did 'they' need to mess with things.

Hope you are both ok, Huia, mind how you go with your walks - don't want you tumbling and hurting yourself. Great that you are getting out tho.

Sylvia, you take care and stay warm and out of the snow if you can. Horrible stuff, not looking forward to it here, I will be nervous of walking about when we get ice and snow after my fall last year, don't think I have been totally 'right' since that bump on the head lol

Don't knock the purple lol!

I find the whiteness very glaring, not easy when you have specs and varifocals at that, am spending less and less time here.
