I have obtained the marriage cert for my great grandparents (William Ball and Rachel Cockram) but it states 'married in the Parish Church in the Parish of St Margaret'. Does that mean that was the church they were married in, or refers to ANY Church within this area? For example: St Mark the Evangelist church was in the Parish of St Margaret. So how do I find out which church they were actually married in? They were married in 1856.

The Parish church will be the one which gives it's name to the parish, ie.St Margarets.

Thanks - that was quite close to where they lived.
