What a horrible, senseless waste of precious lives. Remembering those who have lost their lives in NZ, and remembering Aberfan nearly 30 years on. |

We have the technology to send people to the moon so why do we not value enough those who go underground for us to develop methods that meant a miner never again had to lose his life for us? |

It is very sad, was concerned as there was no sound from them from the start. One lad was 17 and it was his first day at work. Thoughts go out to their families. |

I am old enough to remember mining disasters here in wales, such a tragedy for all concerned. My heart goes out to all friends and relativesof the deceased. i suspect that there was never any hope for them. |
