I have 47 credits but, maybe stupid or just because I am new to GR, I cant use them to any use, any suggestions please?

You could put up a thread on Records Board and offer to use your credits to do free searches for other people

I don't think you can transfer the credits to anyone else.


are you sure that you cannot use them for your own research?

Hello, sorry for the delay in replying but just found yours tonight!!! No the credits are of no use to me becasue all my family are Scottish. Happy New Year by the way.

Hi Janet,

I doubt this would work but could you email GR and ask to see if they can transfer them to Scotlands people credits (I think the same company owns them) and say that you've made a mistake in buying them.

Did GR advertising give you the impression that it could help you with your Scottish ancestors?
