have just got off the phone with cab and got an appointment but its not until 2 weeks time .
What really gets me annoyed is all those people that genuinely need and deserve the help have to fight tooth and nail to get it and those that are just abusing the system get it without any problems..
He takes 30 tablets per day which includes 3 different types are pain relief one is morphine , isn't that telling them something or are they just thick as two sort planks

GeordieCath....l am sorry about this. The Conservatives really are going to town on the people who really need help are'nt they. l have 2 sisters that receive help for motorbility/disability, they too will be assessed. l'm just hoping they don't lose any benefits.
Some of these politicians need to live in the real world to find out what they are doing to people.
l do hope you can appeal and win!!

Some years ago elderly neighbour had a leg amputated due to diabetes and received some sort of allowance (expect it was carers). However, after she had her second leg amputated a Benefits doctor visited her home to assess her - her benefits were reduced as she needed less help with no legs!!!!!!! I told them to appeal. They did but they were in their late seventies, had no famil and did not need that hassle. Hope you get sorted out. Common sense seems to be lacking in those depts.

Have you contacted them yet? It seems like your doctor might be a first port of call.

Calm down, have a cup of tea, then think out your strategy.Isn't that what carers do?

We can appeal but this can take up to 3 months in the mean time its my hubby that will suffer physically and mentally .
With the money he used to get we paid for sons insurance /tax and petrol for my son to enable him to get here at short notice .
Its not as though we can say to hubby you will have to wait an hour to go to the toilet till son gets here on the. bus .
What are they thinking . It just makes me so mad .

I'm sorry to hear that Cath but not at all surprised. My sister has recenty lost her mobility allowance and her car and subsequently her job.
Now she's out work her rent arrears are already building up and it is just a matter of time until she loses her home too. The tories are happy to see a 60 year old disabled woman homeless so who knows how low things will go.

My husband is bed ridden with various health issues only ever goes out when he has hospital /doctors appointments etc even has to have help with toilet needs,
He has been on high rate mobility +middle rate care for 12 yrs .
Now we have just heard that he has been refused all rates .
How the hell do they come up with these judgements?
