Saving paper

Hi
My OH is looking at ways of saving money. I thought this was quite a good idea so thought I would share it with you .

It would appear that on the whole word sets the default margins on the paper of 2.54cm top and bottom and 3.17cm left and right.

This means that the text only takes up 52% of the paper.

If you reduce the margins to 1.5cm all round then the text takes up 75.6% of the paper so if you are printing out several pages think of the paper you could save.

Take care and keep warm

Theresa
Do the University stipulate the way you set out the pages. If so then they need lifted up to the light as they should be saving money!!!!

OH works in education and I think it was all the waste of paper that made him work out the percentages.
I shall certainly think about it when I'm printing out family history stuff.
Take care
