Anyone else getting frustrated at the moment by a brick wall?

I have searched every year from 1938 to1970 at the moment looking for the death of my great granddads half brother Walter.

All my grandad could tell me was he remembered his dad William taking the bus to Windsor to find his brother Walter only to find the saddlers Walter had owned was being run by Walters son and that Walter had died ten years earlier.

My granddad couldn't remember when his dad went looking for Walter.

Off to go check 1971 to 1981 now

Have you asked the crew on Trying to Find yet?

If we can't find 'em, nobody can! ;)

(I do recommend posting there if you want to call in the troops, rather than using this thread, as most inveterate TTFers never read this board.)

Shall I go there now? ;) Just post in it and it will come back to life.

Are you actually searching untranscribed images of the death index?!

Anybody with Ancestry, for instance, would be glad to do it automated-like, as I've just been trying. If I have the right guy:

Births Sep 1895
Clarke Walter Charles Berkhampstead 3a 662
(covers Aldbury)
