Oh Julia!!.Brilliant advice .Tomorrow that top shelf in my fridge will be swept clean of all those manky half empty jars of things from last Xmas lol.As you say they all get shoved to the back and never see the light of day again.I think I may have a few old Xmas puds knocking around too .They will go too.

Julia Lol!! Why is it that we keep those little jars of accompaniments such as cranberry sauce, even though we know we wont finish them off, might just as well bin them in the beginning.

Now *hangs head in shame* And I do clear/clean my fridge honestly. I really have no idea how this happened but lurking behind previous mentioned jars, just this week OH found a yoghurt and the date???? wait for it, even I didn't believe it.... Jan 10!!!!!

That is so true,although in our house its not the tomato ketchup
,its SALAD CREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ughh.

Lol Julia! I'd just like to add room spray and plenty of it, with all those sprouts being consumed!! Ooh, I really fancy a sherry now, you are norty. Only 4.20, it'll have to be a cuppa! Need to be steady - just about to go up into the loft to get the decs down!

As there are only four supermarket shopping Fridays from now to the big day, let me gently remind you to perform the following excersise.
With notebook and pen in hand do a stock check in your fridge, and look at those sauce jars that are lying idle, having been pushed to the back, since this time last year. Check that you have the right accompanying sauce for your preferred meat of choice,
eg,Mint,Apple,Cranberry,Horseraddish, and of course Thousand Island for that ton of prawns you are going to make yourself sick with, because they have been on offer at every supermarket for weeks now, and having first bought some, you thought you out to buy some more while the going was good, and before they sold out and you would not have enough. Yes dearios, we have all been there.
Do a similar exercise in the cupboard. Stock up on Salt,Pepper,Vinegar,Mustard, of every variety, Grandad always wants the one you have not got. Those sauce bottles with a little drop in the bottom will also need your attention. That red sauce in particular needs replenishing in mammoth quantities, because when that little ingrate of a grandson, ooops darling little possum, insits in smothering your beautifully cooked Christmas dinner in it, because his mummy lets him at home, you do not want to be caught out. He would rather be at MaccyD's than yours,we all know, and you wish he was, so give him the next best thing, and grin and bear it. Have another slurp of the cooking sherry. It is all in a good cause.
And finally. Whilst still in the mood, after all of that, turn your attention to medicaments. Stock up on alka-seltzer, or whatever hangover cure is your poisen, and ditto the head pills. And DO NOT forget to get in enough supplies of bog roll and bleach, to cater for an army. You may need it. And, by request from Wend., several cans of 'Brussell Buster' LOLOL

PS Do not forget the sprinkles of choice for atop the sherry trifle. Make sure the ingrate gets a double portion with plenty of sherry in. With abit of luck he will fall asleep,comatosed, whilst you have a game of scrabble, after the Queen's Speech, and his idiot mother takes him home. You can tell her it was all the e-numbers in the red sauce that she lets him cremate his food with. Bon Appetite
