We're having chicken breast pieces, slow cooked in tomato salsa, with mashed spuds and cauli with the essential cheese sauce.
Everything else sounds yummy. I like using my homemade salsa and chili sauces as then I am adding tomatoes, peppers, onions and seasonings all at once, using one ingredient intead of fishing out seven!! Time management!!

Somebody brought in a Mrs Beeton's from a jumbly. All good hearty stuff.

They had chops last night but for afters I did a carrot pudding and baked it. Veg suet, I will use less next time, stale breadcrumbs, sugar, currants, sultanas, nutmeg.

We will be having that again but I will try steaming it.

I actually lik baked suet but usually make it plain to have with meat. Which reminds me I haven't had it for ages. Was the top crunchy doing it that way? It would be softer steamed wouldn't it? Sounds nice though.

Sharron

Sharron Report 2 Dec 2010 13:38

It was kind of crispy. I like to steam bread pudding, then tell everybody else they wouldn't like it that way.

They never believe me!
