Raise a glass to absent friends here.

(Or even, raise several glasses to several absent friends ... but I won't be picking you up if you end up falling-over drunk in the process!!)

You can be serious, you can be daft, I don't mind in the slightest - and no one else will either.

I'd like to lift a glass to those friends that have trod these boards before, and will not anymore, particularly those we lost this summer. Thank you for all the mirth and frivolity.
You are sadly missed.

I'll raise my glass to a friend who was cremated yesterday.

She was a very bubbly, happy lady in her 80s until her sudden demise. I am sure she would have had a good laugh at the hearse having to be towed to the crematorium when it was stuck in the snow and ice!

Cheers.

Cheers to them, both very special.

Yes Ann, we should have a point on a certain date that we all charge our glasses to our dearest friend Daff, absent without leave, when we need her the most.
God Bless Our Daff (get better soon babes)

Kitty - how dreadful for you - am sending thoughts. I have many thoughts but I do miss Linda daily, it is nearly six years now - a very very dear friend.

For my Ian. You live on with every goal the Toon scores, every time I stand by the sea, every time I'm in Barcelona, and with every breath I take.

Our day will come again.
