It depends on what you mean by art Dizzi.

As far as paintings to hang on the wall go I don't care for anything obvious unless it is by someone I know or can relate to so it has a meaning for me.
I prefer a painting that can be what ever I see in it, something that fires my imagination or something I can lose myself in.

I can see that painting like that with acrylics or any medium really would be therapeutic. However, to look at I do like paintings to represent a 'proper' picture. It doesn't have to be like a photograph as I like the impressionists but it has to be what was painted. I also like perspective art. there is an excellent artist that I like who paints street scenes and you feel you are actually in them. I like that.

We went to the tate Modern in St Ives and couldn't get out quickly enough, very strange paintings.

Still each to their own of course.

I paint myself and I go from one extreme to the other. I love painting delicate watercolours, particularly flowers and then I get out the acrylics, a large canvas and splash on the paint thickly in bright colours and experiment with it, using gels and molding pastes with different implements. Oooh, wish I had time to do that right now.
