Had one from Susan in NZ this morning, went out with my camera and took some photos of frost and snow and sent them back to her. My OH was Amazed when I had a reply this afternoon! he doesnt do computers! Despite the problems they sometimes give us, computers are wonderful.

May I just say I am very impressed with your computer/camera skills. Well done you.

I did try and interest my parents in a computer so Mum at least, could keep in touch with her brother in Exeter. Between them they struggle with a mobile phone , heaven forbid a computer. !!

I agree that computers are marvellous. Unfortunately some people just dont seem to have a lot of tech. savvy.

I just wish we could post photos on these threads. I know there is a photo page but it is a bit pitiful. Another site I am on I can post photos with my comments. They are beautiful large pictures. Unfortunately I seem to be the only member now using the website, but I use it as an illustrated diary.

Welcome back Huia, havent seen you on here for some time. I have been using a computer since I was 68, never even typed before, but I thought if children can do it, why cant I. OH has a 96yr old cousin who uses e-mail to keep in touch with family, saves struggling out to the post.

We use Skype to chat to the family in NZ , I'd recommend it to anyone with a 'puter that uss the phone : )

If it was'nt for the computer we would'nt have met you and your OH and that would be a real shame, cause you are both gems:o))

Yes we definately agree at the marvels of computers, excluding all the probs l've had with mine grrr.
We keep in contact with relatives in US as well the UK and l use skype....amazing:o)
