Hi'
Not sure if this the right place to put this message or if is it alright to put it on this board? Anyway here goes is there any naval or ex Naval people out there who maybe able to help me, I have just received some records of a deceased relative of mine concerning his naval record during WW 11 it dates from 1940-1947, the info on the records are as follows:
Europa, Bacchante (Whitethorn), Buldur (Bacchante1), Osprey, Pyrmus, Humrod, Assegai, Kongoni (Hertfordshire), Lochinar (Harris). I presume these all must be H M S. All the above have various dates alongside each ship etc.
Regards

HMS Osprey was the shore establishment based in Portland for the anti-submarine branch. Early in the war it moved to Campbeltown where it may (childhood memories a bit hazy) have used the name HMS Nimrod but that might have been another wartime establishment in Scotland like Dunoon
