I would really like to know just how many people vote for the contestants. All we are told is who has got through and which two couples are in the bottom two. It is clear to see how the judges vote and what scores are awarded based on this but the whole telephone vote system is far from transparent and therefore open to question

I think as in all these shows the judges do try and steer the audience towards the best acts.........probably scared that the not so good singers/dancers {depending on the show} would win due to sheer popularity rather than the more talented contestants.

Though not sure if Pamela is in fact the best? shes scored 40 twice now, and as good as she is, her and James don`t quite have the magic of Kara and Artem....

Gavin aside I think any of the other 4 are good enough to win..

You may well be right MowtownNoelGal...Pamela may well have a contract with the BBC..

You`re right last year Chris Hollins was not the best dancer...that Ricky from Hollyoaks who danced with Nathalie was loads better ... but didn`t he go out in 3rd or 4th place...?

Kara and Artem ... could watch them dance forever and hope they win. Pamela's doing so well, you'd think she was years younger than she is. Matt is super, Scott too when he's on form but for me ... Kara and Artem to win.

I don't understand why Alesha is on the panel; Arlene should be there.

Is it just me or are the judges favouring Pamela Stephenson (unfairly in my opinion)? There is a definite lack of consistency when commenting on her dances. In tonight's quickstep (and in other dances too) there was a lot of time wasting in the opening few bars. Previously, Len Goodman has criticised other dancers for this and has marked them down for not getting into hold sooner. I doubt whether she could have maintained the dance at quickstep speed had the time wasting not been choreographed into the routine and yet no comment was made about several bars of a very slow movement. Yes, her Viennese Waltz was good but Kara's was far superior/at a quicker pace and she was in hold from the opening bars while Pamela's opening and ending bars were while she was sitting down! It doesn't make sense that Pamela scored 4x10 for this routine while Kara was not awarded marks of an equally high value.

Of course everyone will have favourites but I lose faith in the judges when they do not mark the contestants consistently.
