Hello Ann, well what can I say. You have my total comiserations LOL. Been there, done that, got the tee-shirt, as they say.
The OH is so particular about parking HIS car. I have known times when we have had to play 'musical carparks' as I call it. He absolutely hates anyone parking against him, usually a van. I have known us drive into six different parking spaces until he finds the exact one, suitable for HIS car. If a car park is near empty, he will park, if he can, where no-one can be near him, which is usually the furthest from the shop door. But I don't let that put me off LOL
I wonder sometimes, which is the most important thing in his life LOLOL

Well done for being quick off the mark there Julia. My OH would be thinking it was a good idea to stop but by then we'd be too far past and there wouldn't be anywhere to turn so we'd go on the way back. ..... And then we'd go back a different way!

Yesterday, being nice, we thought we would go out looking for a rug for my farmhouse kitchen, well it would be if it could, a farmhouse kitchen, that is. Got to the top of our lane, and the OH decided he would go to another town for something HE was looking for. Along we drove through a nice little valley, when I realised we had to pass an ICELAND shop. Ah, I said, pull up in here, the lovely Chris of Wessex has told me they are selling boned, rolled an stuffed Goose Breasts for £10. Though advertised as being enough for 4-6, it will be okey for just us two. So well done for the info from Chris, after I bemoaned on her thread that I missed having Goose for Christmas now that there is only two of us to cater for.
Well, he thought that now having got that, we could cancel the fresh meat order from the local farm-shop, which he pays for. No,no. You can never have enough. We'll eat the usual poultry for Christmas Day, and save the Goose for New Year's Day. And he though he had got out of it. Nah,nah.
Didn't manage to get the rug, but this morning he slopped of to another local town, and found one, and he paid for it. There is a justice.
Again, thanks Chris for the tip-off
