Our shop/post office changed owners a few weeks ago, and was shut for a week. Today the PO is closed, although the shop is open.

At our nearest Post Office ...we have a (temporary closed )notice in the window.

Don't know what its all about Yet !!! had to go into the town just to post a parcel that had a prepaid label ....Ugggh

Inlaws both ran separate sub post offices and always had to arrange for cover. However on both occasions when they died suddenly some 10 years apart each post office closed immediately. MIL's never reopened as we had no desire to carry it on.

A few weeks ago our main post office wasnt open due to people not getting there because of snow. Some of the smaller ones were.
Sometimes the computers are down in the local one , due to power c ut.s..
Not sure if it should happen but it does.!!!!
Never know it for more than one day though.

Please can anyone tell me if a Post Office can shut for a day or more, without giving notice to their customers,
