Hi David, I thought tongue in cheek too.

Re Matt Cardle, seems the papers are now reporting that despite him saying his mother adopted her late friend's children, their father is disputing this roundly and said they only had the odd sleepover there.

I just went off Matt when he ditched his girlfriend who had been helping him out with money as he wasn't quite the hardworking painter/decorator he made out, pics of him skiving off having cuppas and reportedly not doing much work etc etc

I also don't think he did himself any favours getting involved with a make up artist from the show and then one of the dancers, then apparently chatted up another girl from the show and also made a comment that he hoped he didn't get an erection when singing with whoever it was they paired him up with, pop star or whoever, I can't remember.

If he had kept himself on the singing track and less of the chasing girls track I would have had more respect for him, somehow.

Still as someone said on another board, while he is being hyped up to try and be famous, Rebecca can take her time, be with her children and do things at her pace, she will probably be around long after Matt has gone.

Btw, have a good Christmas David if our paths don't cross again before the big event.

Uggers - he is, he definitely is and as we speak son is in London at a concert listening to him - in seventh heaven!

It probably was said tongue in cheek - if it was said at all:) Seems a bit harsh to get over excited about something attributed to her when as far as I have seen the media never has anything positive to say about her. It's as if Paul McCartney is some sort of national treasure.

Liz, I quite like Matt Cardle from what I've seen of him - well I like his performances anyway. I've got no time for exes who go blabbing to the press.

I have heard interviews done by her which showed another side to her. I thought she was impressive in her determination to skate with the Dancing on Ice programme and was an inspiration to other disable people.
Sure she says the wrong things sometimes and may be a bit above herself in some ways, but at least we don't see news of her dragging round nightclubs or having a torrid lovelife daubed all over the papers or don't I read the right papers lol?

I see Matt Cardle is slagging off his ex girlfriend for writing about him in the papers - she supported him through to the auditions and then got dumped, he has messed with several girls during the X factor programme, dancers, make up artists etc yet everyone thinks he is wonderful, I haven't liked him from the first, I think he is slimy and too full of himself and has no personality, oh and don't like his voice either. It was an insult to the Heroes on the awards show last night to have him 'sing' at the end.

Have to agree with Glittery. Was suspicious of her when she said she had never heard of the Beatles!!!!

Berona Report 18 Dec 2010 04:19

Surely she was joking?

She probably expected to hear laughter but instead, the remark fell on the ears of some stupid person who has no sense of humour - or is perhaps a jealous type. Then, passed along to some aspiring journalist who classed it as 'news'.

I don't think Heather was the stupid one.

Now did someone overhear or was that a comment to another parent who might know of Beatrice's musical skills, or did a teacher blab when he/she shouldn't? or maybe Heather said it tongue in cheek!

Agree with both Glittery & Sue.
My daughters can play the cornet and violin, but both their dad & I are tone deaf/can't read/play music etc
I put it down to their own talent!!!

Possibly something La Heather would never think of!!!

I think that Heather McCartney is a great many things but stupid isn't one of them , anything to get her name in the papers / media springs to my mind .

ChrisofWessex

ChrisofWessex Report 17 Dec 2010 20:29

woman? It pains me to even think a woman could be stupid. According to a particular website and in paper, recently at a parents evening, Heather Mccartney (ex wife of Paul) was being congratulated on the musical prowess of her young daughter Beatrice. 'Oh she takes after me', gushed Heather,'I play the saxophone'.
