Pleased to see you have arrived safely. Let us hope that all those travelling during the next couple of days have good journeys too. (I'm not going anywhere, but expecting people to arrive on Christmas eve.)

Have a lovely time with the family.

Elisabeth xx

Road was fine, a bit mucky from salt but no ice at all and a good run down. Worst part was Glos where we had freezing fog.

congestion from snow accidents...dont need travel friends have today

Look Ann I think the best thing to do is listen to the radio station I gave u and look at the pages on the Oxford travel news which I also gave you the link to and make up your own mind from what you read and think ...
Having had my own son do 13 miles in 5 hours on the A34 I guess I was trying to help

The information I gave you is from what I see when I look out my window

Kemp when you say bad for all of them do you mean they are iced, snow or congested. I have been told the M3 is fine, the M4 looks OK. Is your report based on the fact you have travelled on them today?

Try BBC oxford travel and know that A34 is never good anyway

Check the BBC Travel page

http://www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews/

Click on the counties you plan to travel through and it will list all the hot-spots to avoid.

Perhaps that should have read cold-spots.....!

there is a BBC site - www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews, Our local version - adding /tyne - is being constantly updated and indicates whether it is snow or an accident or whatever - I think you must have a local equivalent, and that there is one for the area to which you are travelling
