KIndle or ipad which is the best?

As a user of books, what happens when you fall asleep and leave the contraption on?
With a book, I just end up with a line down my face.

We have both. Get the iPad. You can do SO much more with it versus the Kindle.

There's a Kindle for iPad app too.

I have had an iPad for a few months now and would nt want to be without it ! very easy to use

I have a Kindle and am very impressed.

Battery life on the ipad is very short, Kindle is good.

Ipad is bigger.

It depends what you want it for really. maybe you could get a netbook and a kindle which would cost approx the same as an ipad.

Thanks for the replies, i do read a lot so a kindle sounds like a good idea!
Plus i pads are more expensive!

My Mrs sent me a Kindle (I work abroad alot). I love it.

I can't give you a comparison, but my husband had a Kindle for his birthday in November and is very pleased with it. (I still can't get used to him lying in bed reading it, instead of a paperback.)

Cant decide what to have for xmas, and whatever i order now will be too late but my other half is nagging me about what he can get me and i was thinking about a kindle but wanted to know more about the i pads which is best?? Does anyone have an i pad or a kindle or both??
