now i was thinking its only me glum .. lol.. thats because i cant get out and shop.. but then ..i remind myself ..theres a lot worse off .. peeps in hospital really poorly.. peeps who have lost loved ones ..peeps with no home ..the elderley on their own ....

I've put some lights in a large bottle thing (can't think of the name at the moment), and slung some green stuff over the mirror - that's my christmas decorations!! I've only done it because youngest is coming over for the night , we're going to eldest's for Christmas day.
Eldest threatened me with a potted real tree, so I never bothered with my moth eaten fake number, still deteriorating in the attic. 'That's your childhood', I reminded her - 'Yes mother a cheap Woollies tree over 25 years old' was her cutting reply. *fake sob*
Unfortunately (?) real potted tree was too heavy for her to lift into the boot of her car, so I'm tree-less (shame!!!)

i have wrapped prezzies for 5 hours
and my backs breaking, full of cold
i still have the snow to shovel off the path before bed

Prickles - it's very hard for some people to feel cheerful at this time of year, quite understandably, for various reasons. Sometimes I feel sad about things at this time of year, but there are too many people counting on me to be cheerful and I couldn't let them down, and I count my blessings that they want me to be cheerful. Happy Christmas to you and all and when it's all over, don't forget Spring will be on its way in 3 months (hopefully!) xxx

Son has swine flu so Christmas put on hold until he recovers to come over. To us, 2010 not great but a damned sighter better than 2009!

Oooohh Noooo! come on everybody. It is Christmas and as long as nobody died, you can still have a lovely time, You just need to make the best of what you have. I understand that it's not always easy but i just sooo want everybody to take a step back. to just relax and enjoy! xxxxx
