Hello everyone... I'm new to making up my family Tree and have got alot of members already in my tree with the help from my Grandfather with a Great Memory and of which he has alot of birth, death and marriage certificates of family members. |

Depending on area and years and the name ( unusual or common) , there may be a parish record online ( for example London marriages on Ancestry) that will have the details without you buying the cert.. |

Leanne as Sue has said you don't need to be with Ancestry, however when you go to the Freebmd site you may see an advert for Ancestry search at the top of the page...just ignore it and scroll further down the page to where the freebmd search is ( when I first started I clicked on the Ancestry ad in error and couldn't work out why it wasn't the free search everyone mentioned!) |
