Make sure it is really hot, maybe as Jean suggests heat that portion in the microwave for a few minutes.

I have done similar in the past. I think you need to bring it to a simmer for a fair length of time, or microwave their prtion before serving.

Vegetarian needs advice please.
I'm making a spicy vegetable stew tomorrow,after dishing up for three vegetarians can I then add cold turkey to the pot and heat through for the turkey eater? does the cold turkey have to reach a high temperture to serve safely?
