Thanks Elizabeth, I didn't know about this. My great grandfather was a firefighter killed in 1940 and is remembered on the memorial by St Paul's.

Dear All

Hello

This evening there is a memorial service at St Pauls Cathedral to honour the brave men and women who had to deal with the aftermath of intense bombing by German Planes.

Despite the damage and destruction, the Cathedral stood and has become an iconic image of defiance through the years.

Immense gratitude and respect to all those who worked in these conditions.

RIP to those who were killed.

Take gentle care
Very best wishes
xx
