put down in back garden to stop me babies bring mud in on there feet back garden has been water logged drainage is awfull, but its worse there now bring in like a chalky foot print and it white and coveing the living room floor , anyone had this problem im hoping its some residue of the stones x

Hope its big pebbles otherwise the local cats will think its a giant cat box/loo
This summer we had a new fence put in and when preparing for its installation we cleared vegetation and took down a grape vine that was getting too big for hubby to keep under control. Found in one corner it was a big cat loo and had to dig out loads of cr*p and soil and boy did it stink!!. put down pebbles and stones but had to keep buying rockery boulders cos as fast as one place wasnt comfy for the cats they crapped elsewhere!!

Have found when buying stones/pebbles that they do have a residue on them that needs washing off first. The chalk will eventually be washed off and sink into the ground. .If you have adequate drainage it may be worth putting the hose on it

omg hopefully non will come in the garden cause of the doghs lol, drainage is poor and only goes down 2 inches then its concrete hence fruit trees round the perimiter hope the cats stop going to the loo on yours xx

A chalky deposit is easier to vacuum up than a muddy (or whatever!!) deposit.
I've got one part of the garden barked. It's a giant litter tray for my 3 cats (but at least the neighbours can't accuse them of cr*pping in their garden!!!)

Morning, Sounds like it is the chalk off your stones but I dont have pebbles, but do have a chalky white residue im forever vacuuming up this past ten days or so. I put it down to salt people have been putting on thier paths to melt the ice being walked into the house- all my cats have been a bit poorly and I guess thats down to them licking salt off their paws. Ive just made sure there is plently of fresh water down all the time for them to drink.
