Frozen potatoes

I always keep some of my vegetables in the garage to keep them cool - and this year, for the first time ever, my potatoes have been frozen. Are they still alright to use? If so, what are the best ways to use them?

Try bringing one or 2 indoors to thaw out naturally. I rather suspect they will go mush and smelly. If in doubt, use your nose (seriously). If they seem fine, they probably are and could be used normally.

If smelly/mushy, I'm afraid they've gone off and should be chucked.

Thanks, they were covered up!

So if they look and smell ok, they should behave as normal?

Yes Liz, if they look and smell normal, they will be fine.
Before the days of sell-by-dates etc, the nose test was the best. Still is for a lot of people.
