......... don't push your luck too far. Your wounds won't leave a scar. Right now is where you are, in a drunken haze.......

Well, that's me away - first star on the left and then straight on till morning

Gosh Sue - you must have really had a good time last night - it's New Years Day!!!
I too listened to 'The Lady in the Van' today - for the second time.
If anything it was better than the first time!! LOL

Well, it's been an "interesting" day today.

I woke up at about 7.30 - twin pronged by needing the toilet and a drink of water (just goes to show that playing Monopoly on New Years Eve would be all the better, in the long term, without the wine...)

Anyway, back to bed I went, and decided to have a saunter through the sky channels from the horizontal ......

Oh, what is this on CB? - it's only the Never Ending Story!

Now, I know every word of this film - it was one of my daughter's favourites many years ago, but I'd forgotten how it used to bring a lump to my throat.....

"Childlike Empress: Bastian, why don't you do what you dream, Bastian?
Bastian: But I can't! I have to keep my feet on the ground!
Childlike Empress: Call my name! Bastian, please! Save us!
Bastian: All right, I'll do it. I'll save you. I will do what I dream!"

Memories of 8 year-old Rachel " Bastian, please call her name. It's "love", Bastian...."

Anyway, I managed to get up for a couple of hours, and then put Radio 4 on. What a wonderful hour or so - listening to Alan Bennet's "Lady in the Van". now, if you've never heard this before, then it's worth a listen....

Oh, what a boxing day!
