how do i find either the original birth certificate showing mother and fathers name on AND marriage certificates?????

depends when to an extent.

genreally FREEBMD is quite a good source for finding the ref, then you have to send to them, usually to the GRO or a local records office.

can you give us an idea of what you are actually looking for

i have the reference and page number for marriage certificate,.......its my fathers marriage certificate im looking for, i do not know his mother or fathers names..........................thanks penny, ill have to go to the local office to see what they can find!

You dont need to know your dads parents name to get his marriage cert.
If you have GRO refs then these are only of use if you order from www.gro.gov.uk.Local register offices have their own filing system

The place to go is GRO it will cost about £10.00 per copy BUT dont pay anymore unless you want it quick ...and I think only the office that is in the area where the marriage took place will be able to give you a copy ...but I may be wrong coz things change...

And your birth certificate may have your mums maiden name on...it may also have your dads name on which may help us to help you

That is the only Philip Craze in Cornwall on the 1911 census according to Find My Past.
As Philip is listed as 4 months old that would fit in with a december birth.

So do you have the stuff you need for your mums side coz we can copy and paste that if you would like ?

It always amazes me how quick these people can put together a family one evening I got 3 generations from a good friend just by giving the little info I had
