Ancestors were involved in entertainment during 19th and early 20th century can anyone advise websites where I can find out more info? Whole thing proving nightmare!! |

It may really be a case of Googling every possibility...for example if they worked in theatre trying the various theatres, or something like 'music hall artistes' which brings up: |

Hi they used the stage names D'Alberte or L'Art. Grt grandfather was a tightrope artiste from 1846 -1870 then transferred to Music Hall. His wife and children were involved in Music Hall but have been unable to track them down on either 1851 or 1871 cenus. Their real family name was Morton. |
