I wonder if anyone has any information as to how you find the history of these buildings. I am trying to find any information about the New Inn in Roydon Essex going back to when they started. My relative was the landlord there in the 1700's and I cannt find any information on him and his wife and where they came from from before they resided there.
Any help appreciated

If you google it there is a lovely photo of it. It is a pretty pub by the looks of it.

The New Inn' on Roydon's High Street
Recorded in 1769, 'The New Inn' is an early 17th-century timber-framed building on the site of a late medieval house of which the south cross wing survives.
