We took 3 carrier bags of books to charity shops (we split them between three shops) today. can't see any space where they were, the old thing about things expanding to fill available space I guess. Will take more the next time I go in as well. We want to lay a new carpet in this office of mine and that is where the books mainly are!!! |

Well done Ann! I am a natural chucker outer and I just love that feeling of giving things to the charity shops...and then I buy something else back to fill the space! lol BC XX |

BC with books I don't let go easily. I will give a book to anyone but couldn't just throw them out. Charity shops i don't mind but it is remembering to take them, and carrying them on the bus. If somebody knocked on my door and asked for books for a charity I'd give them a box full because I could do it without effort. Having the Kindle helps now though and the thought that if anything happened to either or both of us the kids would be left with two skips full of books to get rid of. All the books in the house are mine and there are hundreds. I also have a sideboard full of glasses and bits and oieces of china that I need to get rid of but that is another story. |

Cant part with a book, which is why I seldom buy them, just go to the library van. No space for any more. |

I shall take more next time. I just wish the charity shops were where we could drive to but none of them are. |

Hi Anne how are you? I used to belong to freecycle before they changed it, got rid of a load of FH magazines that way. (got more of them to get rid of too) will have to think about that. If I am giving them though I sort of feel I'd rather they went to charity. |

I'd still have to carry them there by bus Chris, parking is horrendous at the moment because theya re building a new multi storey on the old car park, besides being really expensive. |
