Not my cup of tea, but if it keeps some members happy then good luck to them.

We have separate boards for all sorts of things Shelley, it doesn't make us any less of a big happy family if we do that I post on Chat, Gen and Tips boards, it just keeps things separate. I know you like the A-Zs and they don't bother me but if they were on one board you'd always know where to find them and those that are not interested would not go on that board. At least one FH site has seaparate boards for lots of different subjects including quizzes, hobbies etc.

Sue, we have been asking for a special board for quizzes, and A-Zs etc. One man's meat and all that. Some people like them because they get their brains thinking. If we don't like them we don't need to go on them. I rarely do.

However, some long running threads which have a lot of posts are friendly chat threads and/or support threads. Just because they have a lot of posts doesn't mean they are not important to somebody.

What sort of threads would you be interested in? Have you put any up yourself? What are your interests other than family history? Try it and see what happens.

I am one of those that reads a lot but I don't always add unless I have something really useful to say (in my opinion).

Purple S.D. - Good morning, I'm usually an early bird and often read what you have added overnight and the threads you start in the 'wee small hours'.

I often add threads but because they are in the wee small hours people don't notice them!

I think if you want 'something doing you must do it yourself' lol , I do try and add something of interest to me, that I think others might also find interesting, but it would certainly be nice to see more people posting threads on different topics...so there is something for everyone :)

I never go on the A-Zs. Food and drink sometimes, a recipe exchange is useful and not everyone can cook to perfection. Also tips on where to get things are useful. You could post something of the sort that you wish to see, I am sur we would all be grateful.
