Have you tried the Army marraige records on FindmyPast?

If not there, do you know where he was stationed before Guernsey? Wherever it was, perhaps they married there.

thank you both for the info most kind.

LittleMissJanuary ive already checked the Guernsey records and no marriage is recored for Robert and Charlotte.

i did find a marriage for a Charlotte Pasterfield 1857 Orsett Essex but the grooms name is either Joseph Barker or Charles Lewis

i do have death certificates for both Robert and Charlotte and they both died at the same address in Ingrave Essex in 1887 and 1889.

i can only think they never married at all, but cant imagine it in them days, but ill have to go back to square one and troll thorugh all marrige records from 1850 till Charlottes death in 1887.
perhapes as you say they married later in life.

i might try the Manchester parish records see if they where married there as thats where there son Thomas was born in 1845.

any way ill keep trying thanks again dorothy

can any one help me with finding details about a marriage betewwn Robert Warman born 1807 and Charlotte Pasterield, born 1809.
ther first son was born 1838 in Gurensey
daughter born 1841 Ireland,
son1845 Manchester and then another son 1848 Ingrave essex.
ive tried all parish records, marriage records but cant find them so what do i do next.
i also ordered Roberts army record but nothing on there as to a date

please help me other wise hair pulling out time
