Many thanks all. have pinged an email off to LMA after speaking to them on the phone and they have said they will do a brief search to find the records I am looking for incase I go up there and its a wasted journey.
so that is excellent sevice. The ten to twenty day reply service is fine as there is no immediate urgency.
Best regards.

Not sure what years you are looking for but these are some of the records held by the LMA (according to www.workhouses.org):-

London Metropolitan Archives, 40 Northampton Road, London EC1R OHB.

Holdings include: Guardians' minutes (1896-1930); Admissions and discharges (1911-47); Creed registers (1900-51); Lists of pauper children (1900-53).

London Metropoliton Archives....they are in Northampton Road EC 1 they have a web but a visit in person will be the way to go...,,,these hold a massive collection of records which what you are looking for..

Ancestry.co.uk do have some London Poor Law records from the LMA but cant see the heading of what youre looking for,,,

Edit,,Ancestry do have admission/discharge records for Barnet which covers Hendon but dont know if they are what you need or cover the years,,,,

I have been to the N/Archives website to try and view the records for the poor law union that covered the willesden area(Hendon??)These are not available on there.
Can anyone advise if these are available anywhere to view, either electronically or physically?
The specific area I am looking for is the Twyford lodge workhouse and infirmary, then after 1921 became park royal hospital and later to become central middx hospital.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
John.
