could anyone tell me what was built before the terraced houses in ardsley coronation terr,i believe they were built around 1902/5 but before that what was there ?.if anyone knows please let me know .thankyou very much.it is in barnsley south yorlshire |

In my area, Norwich, my terraced house, and others in the area, was built on old orchards and a vicarage garden, around 1890, very close to the centre of the city and not that far from the old city walls, what's left of them. Also close to the old hospital, now partly demolished and new housing and the nursing home and some areas altered into posh flats. The hospital was started in 1771 but closed down a few years ago despite the protests and a new hospital built on the very outskirts of Norwich close to the University. |
