Thought l'd just pop this on in case any ones interested !!!!!!!!!!
In my local paper today it is saying that if anyone would like to go on board the Ark royal for the last time it will be open to the public in Portsmouth dockyard on the 22nd / 23rd January, entry is free.

Opening times.......22nd, midday till 4pm
23rd, 10am till 3pm.

What an opportunity to see a part of history. I bet it will be cowded though.

Totally agree with you Merlin, OH and l drove passed the dockyard this morning and we were only saying that years ago you would come down here and see all the sailors about and today we saw 2 .

I might try to get to thos I must see how far it is from hastings. My uncle Alan served on the Ark Royal. I cannot believe it is to be scrapped, Is there anything we can do, for example set up a petition. Anyone got any idea how this is done?

I need a new project and therefore will to help even from a disatnce as do not usually live in UK
