Hi,
I am attempting to obtain my fathers service records, however I dont have his service number, but I understand it is not necessary so long as I have his NI Number, which I dont, I have his passport, Driving License, Birth Marriage and Death Certificates and no other documents. can anyone tell me where and how I can get his NI Number?

I dont think you can find that as its data protected,.
Have seen others though on here being told that they dont need the service number to apply for Service records .

I've seen the NI Number printed on Payslips before so if you've got some of those in the records you have then you might be lucky.

Following on from Mark, how about an old P45 or P60.
