I don't have any real friends on here now but then I only use it now and again. There are a handful of people I like very much and are of a similar mind but most of the people I was friends with aren't members or don't post. I post when I see something that interests me enough to respond, which isn't very often:))

Hi SRS

I used to have more time to read and add to thread's but with work and other thing's that must be done I tend to visit mostly the Aussie's thread. If as now I have time to scan chat and general and see a thread ( like this one ) and I want to post on it I will. I wouldn't say the Aussie thread is a clique but I do know if I go there I will alway's find people on there that I know, I would say that I have many friend's on GR but as with most people on this site there are some special friend's that you can trust and talk to off the thread's and know they will respect your trust. I have been on GR now for a few year's, and have never had a cross word with any-one and as far as I know have never upset any-one.
BTW hun we have met at a Liverpool meet a couple of year's ago, I was the one that arrived when nearly every-one had left there was only a few of you still there, you Cat and Liz were the main one's I nattered too.
~~~~~ to all that know me on here
Seems to me that we are all in a clique.....a GR clique.
AnninGlos Report 20 Jan 2011 10:23
I regularly post on the thread for Jean on Gen, Daff's thread, and there seems to be one of mine that has quite a few posts, the writing group thread, Greaders, scrapbooking and card making threads where we all chat about shared interests, oh and the support thread for anxiety and depression but I see none of those as being cliquey, just a group of people chatting about nothing in particular (except the shared interest threads. I post where I find an interest and will join in anything I fancy. Don't do cliques, but do have some I think of as friends.
I really don't see my Aussie thread as being a clique. Anyone can join in and are always welcome. We have a laugh and sometimes some serious talk and a lot of support when anyone needs it. Actually most of the people on the thread are in the UK so the "Aussie" title doesn't really say it all.
Well, anybody wants to meet me, Diz, is welcome in the spare flat any time! At the moment it's unheated and the water supply is a bit of a problem ... best wait til spring ...
Glenys the Menace came to town in the summer a while back, and No.1 and I joined her and the family for dinner and looked at a few sights. Her favourite was ... the groundhog in its burrow under a tree in front of a famous building, begging for food ... And of course the Mountie, although he wasn't so chummy.
So I have references. ;)
~~~ SRS,

I have never ( contrary to any misinformation lol) been part of any clique, what amuses ( and sometimes irritates me to the point of kicking something ! ) is that I have been seen as being in ( the perceived ) clique A by group B, whilst simultaneously seen as being in Clique B by group A.... and in reality having 'friendly acquaintances' in both.

No offence to anyone, if a topic interests me i will post on the thread...whether I know or like the poster or not...or whether they know or like me lol. If i haven't anything to say on it but want to acknowledge the poster I might wave or say nice to see you posting :)

Susan, oh I'd forgotten, I don't do grammar :) I didn't know gotten wasn't a proper word, that's it, you'll have to reteach me English lol

Don't know any Susan's but I used to know a Lil ;) and an Aunt Marge??

Thanks MM, I sort of recall you now lol :)

A lot of reds in our area Janey unfortunately died about 3 years ago. They were fiercely protected from the greys but I think caught a disease and we lost about 3/4 I think. It's a shame, you don't really see them when you visit them anymore.

Enjoy your meet with your friends Ice, I've been to 3 meets and met some lovely people. :))

No, I do not have any friends on GR.
I have chatted to some lovely people on here, and have met some really nice friendly GR members at a few meets, but that's about as far as it goes.
