hasonly taken just over 4 weeks but today managed to get trainer on my bad foot for the 1st time since falling down stairs. Still hrts and cant put foot flaton floor but atleast i dont look so weird now as did with slipper on one foot and shoe on other.

Also means should be able to wear matching footwear for aunts funeral on monday was worried that would be wearing odd ones for that.

Dawnie, did you have that X-rayed at the time? Are you sure you haven't chipped a bone?

yep they said no and my dr even asked for xray department report to double check they say no.
it so sore down outside even to touch so may go back and ask if he will sendme back for another one as ankle still so swollen as well


shall we start a trend of slipper and shoe footwear hope yours heals soon

now wonder what you did say lol my three have been good maing sure they know wher emy foot is before they gonear me it the dog who has gone blind and cant see it and goe by wher ethe furniture is and barges into leg.

I am lucky as I use crutches normally anyway so have been ableto use them but not used to them for weight bearing jut balance so has been so hard arms are covered in bruises from them.
And done the crawling upstairs and along the landing and hall on all fours

If we can laugh about it makes it more bearable.

Monday could be purple fluffy boots as theydont did into the swolenankle and are comfy so could be mis matched oncolour but Uncle wont mind its a sort of ecoish funeral so will fit in fine lol

Dawnie strange to read that you think you are 'lucky' because you normally use crutches Lol!!!

Back in the early 90s I fell down the last two stairs here and sprained my ankle. It was over 6 weeks before it was better and not completely so then. Not helped because I went on going to work and walking on it.

Ann well at least i am sort of used to them so makes it easier to get around more than if I was just using them and am lucky compared to some people.
